01Robots can be placed without being constrained by factory layout.

Although most collaborative robots typically have 6 axes, the Yamaha Motor Cobot adds a third axis, enabling a free movement like human arm.
Thanks to the third axis, it can: Maneuver into tight spaces Navigate around obstacles This allows the robot to be placed without being constrained by the factory or work cell layout.

02Compatible with a wide range of applications

All 7 axes are equipped with built-in torque sensors, enabling smooth motion through compliance control.
Even slight external forces can be detected with high precision, allowing the robot to perform smooth, adaptive tasks such as insertion/removal and polishing of production items.

03Certified Trust

Yamaha Motor Cobot is certified for functional safety by the independent certification body TÜV SÜD.
It has also been introduced ahead of schedule at our Fukuroi Minami Factory, the main production site for outboard motors, where it is actively used on the actual production line to verify its operation and functionality.
Of course, a “high-speed mode” is available, so with the installation of safety guarding and a proper risk assessment (to be carried out by the customer), it can also be used as an industrial robot.

04Simple Visual Programming

“Code-Block Programming”=Create programs by connecting blocks that contain command statements.
Note:Free-form programming is also supported.
Even a first time user of a Yamaha Motor Cobot can operate the system intuitively.

05Compact Design Controller

A compact housing with dimensions of 335mm (W) × 235mm (D) × 115mm (H).
Helps reduce the size of control panels.
The operation pendant is also designed to be very simple and stylish, allowing for easy operation regardless of the operator’s skill level.

06Installing a cobot on AGV and AMR
