Examples of use with single axis and additional axis
Controlling Cartesian robot and single-axis robot with a single controller
- Multiple robots can be controlled simultaneously with one controller.
The system can be expanded to up to two groups with eight axes. - Multiple robots are controlled with one controller, so cooperation can be established without a PLC or IO between controllers.
Examples of using long stroke dual drive
Dual drive control allows long stroke axes to be used with a Cartesian combination
- A long stroke of up to approx. Y axis 2m is possible using the dual drive (2-axis synchronous) control.
- This system supports long distance transfer and heavy loading capacity specifications.
- The optimum mechanism combination and control method are proposed according to the required repeatability.
Part pick & place
Component pick & place from the index
- Parts identified on the index by the vision device are removed and sorted by the robot.
- The vision device determines the type and position and issues the movement position to the robot.
- In addition to pre-taught positions, the robot can move to a position randomly imported from an external device.
- RS-232C, Ethernet or field buses such as CC-Link can be selected for controller communication.
Process-to-process transfer using dual-drive
Uses dual-drive to convey large and heavy workpieces.
- Dual-drive is a function that synchronizes and moves two single-axis robots of the same type.
- Even heavy items, or parts and products of different sizes can be transferred using this dual-drive function.
- This function improves acceleration and is effective for reducing cycle time.
Part assembly system
Vehicle clutch assembly
Two types of parts are alternately assembled at a high efficiency
- The dual arm save space and reduces the cycle time.
- Dual-arm specifications can be selected as a standard.
- Either left or right can be selected individually for the Y-axis and Z-axis stroke (special order).
- The nut-rotation type X axis also supports long strokes, and maintains the maximum speed.
Conveyor (2 parts simultaneously)
Conveyance with high efficiency using double arms.
- Setting 2 units on the Z axis intersecting XZ drastically cuts the total tact time and reduces the required installation space.
- Customization only possible because a highly rigid frame and guide are used.
Application of adhesive agent
Application of adhesive agent within a large size liquid crystal surface processing unit.
- Capable of handling large size workpieces.
- Also applicable to cutting work with a cutter, surface check with a camera, etc.
IC palletizing within the unit
ICs are taken out of the pallet and parts are transferred to the specified place by the XYZ Cartesian robot.
Application as a part of the machine used in the process where a die is attached to the circuit board using thermocompression bonding in the manufacture of semi conductors.
- By using the RCX controller, it is possible to use the result of the operation based on variables during palletizing.
Tester (2 Cartesian robots controlled simultaneously)
Use as a tester in the post process of manufacturing electronic parts.
- 2 units of SXYx are operated using 1 unit of RCX340 with settings for 2 robots.
- The vertical traveling accuracy of XY axes of both 2 units of SXYx is within +/ 0.05mm.
Sealing
Spreading sealant to mating faces of the cases.
- Three dimensional application using 3 axes Cartesian robot.
Cartesian robot incorporated with special purpose machine.
Transfer and stacking device within the unit
Used in the sheet metal processing unit.
- X1 and X2 axes are superposed for space efficiency.
- The unit layout is easy even for the doubled stroke.
Dispenser
Spreading adhesive agent to drums.
- Boosting the R axis strength allows 3 dimensional interpolation + R operation.
- Each axis has high rigidity and so can easily withstand harsh conditions such as on the moving arm (handles 100mm/sec).
Insertion unit (Tare weight cancellation using moving Z + air balancer)
Heavy workpiece inserted in the pallet, etc.
Heavy workpiece before processing set in the processing machine.
- Z axis moving type: The heavy workpiece is cancelled by the air balancer and moved up and down.
Assembler & tester base machine (Simultaneous operation at upper and lower levels)
Tester (upper and lower probes, camera with lighting) .
Precision spot welding machine.
Simultaneous assembly at upper and lower levels (caulking parts, screw tightening) .
- Simultaneous control of 2 Cartesian robots.
- Levelness of upper and lower robots assured (custom specification) .
