ALL IMAGE TRACER | It is a name of Yamaha SMT software for traceability purpose. A function to save all image information that can be acquired by components recognition camera, such as parts recognition images. The stored image can be utilized by analysis software such as N point verification, and the factor investigation of adsorption defect and mounting defect becomes intuitive. |
ANC | It is stand for Auto Nozzle Changer. It is possible to store various pick up nozzles and automatically replace them according to the size and shape of the parts. It is sometimes called a nozzle station. |
CPH(ChipPerHour) | An index of the installation capacity that indicates the number of components that can be placed per hour. |
FM head (Flexible Multi-head) | Five in-line heads with emphasis on adaptability to tall and odd-shape components. The FM head for YRM20 can be mounted up to 03015mm~W55×L100mm T30mm and has a load control function to ensure high usability. |
HM head (High-speed Multi-head) | Ten in-line type head that combines high speed and versatility with the concept of a one-head solution. HM-heads for YRM20 can be mounted from 0201mm to W55 x L100mm T15mm. |
LED rank management | Though LED has variation by individual such as light intensity and color, uniformity of brightness and color is required in the final product. This function realizes the homogeneity of brightness and color in the final product by identifying and managing the ranked LEDs according to the amount of light, etc., and implementing them. |
MACS | It is stand for Multiple Accuracy Compensation System. Generic term for Yamaha's proprietary placement accuracy correction method. |
RM head (Rotary Multi-head) | It is an ultra-high-speed rotary head and boasts the world's fastest speed per head. (Yamaha investigation as of June 2021) On the other hand, it also has versatility capable of correspondence parts up to □12mm in height and 6.5mm in height. |
sATS | It is stand for "Single Auto Tray Supply". A single-purpose automatic tray feeding unit. |
sATS30NS | It is stand for "Single Auto Tray Supply 30 pallets Non-Stop". A single-type automatic tray feeding unit. A non-stop tray replaceable optional item that can be stored in 30 stages. |
Ejector | Equipment that generates vacuum using compressed air. It is used for adsorption of components by pick and placer, and the like. |
Feeder carriage | A carriage for collectively replacing multiple feeders to be set on the pick and place machine. The preparation of the next production model during the production run becomes possible near the compopnents storage area, which helps to reduce the labor of the production preparation work and improve the production availability. |
Autoloading feeder (ALF) | Feeder that realizes a skillless and automatic set that eliminates splicing work. |
Overdrive motion | A function that can minimize head interference to achieve highly efficient alternate components placement. |
Feeder set-up stataion | Used to set the components in tape and reel to the feeder and change the feeding pitch. Power is supplied from the machine body to the electric feeder. |
Common setup | Feeder (components) arrangement that shall be optimized by considering feeder (components) setting position of multiple production program. Feeder replacement work is minimized when switching production models, and setup time can be reduced. |
Gripper nozzle | A nozzle with a mechanical chuck mechanism that grasps components. |
Side View Camera | A camera that captures an image of components in picked-up state from the side. Abnormalities in pick-up such as reversal of the top and bottom of the lead component and standing pick-up of the chip components are detected. |
Side blow | At the time of nozzle shaft blow, shaft blow shall be applied from the head unit side, and at the same time, blow shall be applied to the tip of the nozzle from the side to remove any dirt. |
Scan camera | Yamaha original camera mechanism installed on the underside of the components pick-up head that allows high-speed imaging of components being picked-up while the head moves to the component placement position after component pick-up. This makes it possible to move from feeder to placement position at the shortest distance. |
Scheduled tasks | A system that regularly and automatically performs maintenance such as nozzle cleaning blow and vacuum pressure check according to the scheduled settings. |
Alternative component function | A function to switch to a different feeder with substitute components and continue production when compornents run out. When components are refilled with the removed feeder and re-set on the machine, it is possible to automatically return to the parts supply from the re-set feeder. |
Dummy feeder | A feeder-like item that has no parts supply function to be mounted in a clearance between feeders as a safety measure to prevent finger and hand insertion from the feeder set position. |
Tape cutter | Mechanism to cut off empty tape after components picked-up and dispose of it. |
Non-stop feeder replacement carriage | A feeder carraige for batch tape feeder replacement that allows the feeder carraige to be replaced without stopping automatic operation. |
Buffer (nozzle) | It is Yamaha's name of mechanism that reduces the load and impact on components by equipping the nozzle itself and nozzle shaft with a spring sliding mechanism. |
Fiducial camera | Cameras used to detect fiducial marks on boards and program components placement position manually. |
Push-up pin | Supporting the board from the bottom to reduce the vertical movement of the board during components placement, which contributes to stabilization of the placement quality. Sometimes referred to as "backup pin" or "support pin". |
Blow station | A unit that blows away dirt and foreign matter by applying high-pressure blow to the inside of the nozzle & nozzle shaft and nozzle tip. This operation is called nozzle shaft blow. |
Multi Camera | A camera mounted on pick and place machine frame. Recognize the component suction condition when the head moves over it. A wide range of components from extremely small components up to large components can be recognized. An optional coplanarity checker can be added to check the lead bending of IC components and component flatness. |
Non-stop feeder replacement | The function feeder replacement can be performed without stopping automatic operation. Effective operation is possible by using together with alternative component function. |
Draw back check | A mechanism for checking the return of components using a negative pressure or vision camera. |
Random placement | A reel and B reel components of the same component type shall be mixed and randomly placed on the board for mainly display backlight products, etc. The color tone of the LED component may be slightly different for each reel, it make balanced color tone. |
One-stop cover | A cover for preventing accidents caused by insertion of hand, or part of human body during production by covering a large open space without a feeder carriage when production starts without setting a feeder carriage where it should be set. |
