The exhaust manifold is integrated into this one-piece cylinder head, greatly contributing to a more compact and less costly engine. Advanced casting technology is required to produce its highly precise and complex shape. In particular, ensuring the accuracy and detail of the sand core used to create the head's snaking cavities is essential. Yamaha was a step ahead of the competition here, becoming the first manufacturer to produce outboard engines with this format. Today, we have a proven record with the great variety of exhaust manifold-integrated cylinder heads we have produced to date.
