The exercise for the lateral portion of the deltoid muscles. Different muscles are trained depending on the orientation of the palm.

Stretch both of your arms to your side, thumbs facing upwards and your hands open.

Raise your arms, count for 2 seconds in that posture, and then lower your arms.

Repeat the same movements four more times, rotate your shoulders in a wide circle and relax once you finish.

Next, stretch both of your arms to your side, thumbs facing down and your hands open.
