Using extensive data accumulated from forming analysis, die stress analysis, etc., Yamaha can produce cold-forged parts with a high degree of precision. By using an automated transport system for the many work processes involved in forming this part, we are able to lower production costs.
Heat Treatment
Carburizing and quenching increases surface hardness, and thus increases bending fatigue strength, surface fatigue strength and resistance to wear. The driveshaft is another key part in increasing a motorcycle's performance.
