Individuality - Various lifestyles with XSR

Almost 10 years have passed since the 2016 release of the XSR900 in Japan.
What Yamaha wanted to achieve with the XSR was an embodiment of the inherent joys of a motorcycle, namely the joy of riding, the joy of ownership, and the joy of adorning one’s life with a motorcycle, which have always been expressed in the context of Yamaha’s history.

Beginning from the 1st-generation "XSR900” with its combination of universal and cutting-edge features, the series grew to include the "XSR700” for expressing one’s individuality, the "XSR155/125” as lighter alternatives for greater freedom, the 2nd-generation "XSR900” based on the original inspiration of the 1980s model, and the "XSR900 GP” that further pursued the Yamaha racing spirit. In this exhibition, we display the entire Series with all the dynamics of its lateral expansion and its vertical connections.

Also, to achieve Individuality (personal expression), two important points are customizing the machine and the rider’s fashion. Two more aim of this exhibition are to stimulate “broader perspectives to enable new possibilities” for individual expression, and to propose “new design possibilities for greater freedom in creativity."

Through this XSR exhibition, we hope that you will experience anew the “joy and creativity deriving from the free pursuit of the individual aesthetics unique to each rider.”
