Always with a consistent pursuit of the “Torquey ＆ Agile” ideal, the MT-09 has undergone a succession of model revisions. But the changes have not been repetitions of the same process.
Usual model revisions maintain the same image while making repeated changes, but with the MT-09 the top priority has been to consistently strive in a “Spirit of creating the ultimate Torquey ＆ Agile model.”

The mood of the times and the orientation of the riders are constantly changing. For this reason, we believe it is only natural that there be corresponding changes in our development ideals, including the passion of the project members, and that the final machine output achieved by it all should also be different.

The mission for the MT-09 is to continue taking on new challenges. And these challenges that continue to “carry out the original intention” will go on.

Based on this theme, we introduce the 10 years of evolution the MT-09 has undergone from the standpoints of exterior design and development.

Features adopted on the 2024 model MT-09 such as the fuel tank shaped by ”high-spec press molding,” the new handlebar switches designed for intuitive operation, and more, are on display as technologies that only Yamaha Motor can produce, based on the integrated combination of the three pillars of engineering, structure, and exterior design.
