Born December 1945, like countryman Jarno Saarinen. In 1969, rode a Yamaha TD-2 production racer and debuted in the World GP in his native Finland (4th in the 250cc class). After that, rode Yamaha TD and TR series machines in GPs in the 250cc and 350 classes. In 1973, after the death of Saarinen, Lansivouri rode his YZR250 factory machine and achieved 2nd place in the 250cc class. In the 350cc class, also achieved a ranking of 2nd just behind 1st-ranking Giacomo Agostini (MV Agusta). His achievements recognized, in the following year (1974) he was signed by Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. (YMENV) to ride YZR500 (0W20) and YZR350 (0W16) factory machines in place of Hideo Kanaya, who was injured and withdrew from GP racing. In the 350cc class he ranked 6th, and in the 500cc class he placed 3rd, ahead of Giacomo Agostini. From the following year (1975), however, switched to Suzuki. He was active in the 500cc class until 1978.
