Born January 1969. In 1995 experienced 500cc class racing, riding for Harris Yamaha, and joined the Yamaha Team in 1998. Raced with teammate Regis Laconi. In the British GP, obtained his only individual victory and was ranked 7th. Also in 1998, raced in the Suzuka 8 Hours with Noriyuki Haga and took 6th place. The following year also rode in the 500cc class on a YZR500, but parted from the team halfway during the season. In 1986 he won Malaysia's Superbike championship and focused fully in the WSB series from 1992, riding Honda, Ducati, Kawasaki, and other machines and obtaining top rankings. He returned to superbike racing after leaving the Yamaha Team.
