The bLU cRU is a worldwide motorsports support program offered by Yamaha Motor. As part of the program, bLU cRU motocross riders from around the world were brought together to race against each other in a special international competition put on alongside the prestigious Motocross of Nations. Three young racers flying the flag for the United States lined up their YZs on the kind of starting grid they had dreamed of. Quietly watching over them was one Jennifer Davie.

“Anybody can make a motorcycle and [...] it could be a good product, but I want people to feel something more than that,” explains Jennifer Davie amidst the dust-filled air of an off-road racetrack. Davie has enjoyed a 27-year career at Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., where she works as a motorsports experiential marketing and events manager. “But when they think of Yamaha, I want it to be more than that. I want it to be the experience. I want it to be about the joy that it brings to their lives and the experiences that it provides to them, and their family and friends beyond that.” Behind those words were the focus she showed as she watched the many young racers from all over the world competing against each other on blue Yamaha motocross bikes.

Yamaha Motor’s bLU cRU motorsports support program first began in the United States, but has now taken root in countries around the world and developed along various avenues. The program’s value is also growing while fostering connections among people by offering various forms of support for riders who want to lower their times, creating opportunities for people to kickstart their racing careers, providing chances to interact with fellow bLU cRU members and ambassadors, and more.

Through her work with the bLU cRU program, Davie wants to bring the joy and pride that comes from truly feeling part of the Yamaha family. That desire is not limited to just the young racers with dreams to make it to the top; it extends to their friends, families, and partners like the coworkers and dealerships she works with. To get everybody to feel proud to be part of the bLU cRU and the Yamaha family.
