First Encounter with a Musical Instrument and Vehicle

From the exhibition “You Are Here” at Milan Design Week 2023, which is the largest design event in the world, we present a wooden rocking horse as a symbol of My First Yamaha. The rocking horse doubles up as both a child’s first vehicle and musical instrument.
Musical instruments sometimes feel like an extension of your body and a dear companion. Their presence creates a sense of closeness, like being with a friend or pet, rather than being with an object that is simply lying there. We took inspiration from this idea and designed a furniture-like item that brings out the fun of living with musical instruments.
On this occasion we will also display the “solo” acoustic guitar stand and the classic guitar frame designed by Yamaha based on the same concept and produced by the furniture manufacturer MEXARTS.
