The Venture Royale was a long-distance tourer and had the largest displacement and power output of any Yamaha motorcycle at the time. Developed mainly for the North American market, it had a liquid-cooled DOHC 16-valve V4 engine, shaft drive, full-body fairing, AM/FM radio with cassette player, computer-controlled front/rear suspension and more, making this model great for comfortable long-distance cruising. This model’s engine became the base for the VMAX launched three years later. On display is a 1983 model.
