XJ750E

One of the models that clearly embodied Yamaha Motor's focus on building motorcycles that are “slim, compact and fun to ride” was the XJ750E. Locating the generator on the back side of the cylinders in an air-cooled 4-stroke DOHC in-line 4-cylinder format, produced an exceptionally slim engine such as never seen before on the existing 4-cylinder 750cc bikes. Its light weight and highly controllable handling won it the admiration of many fans.
