This is a version of the business-use Mate series models that became the popular standard among models in Japan that was modified for overseas markets. It had an 80cc 2-stroke single-cylinder engine mounted on a pressed-steel backbone frame and adopted a double seat to make two-up riding possible. It has served widely as a durable and versatile commuter model in Central and South America, Europe and other regions. There is also a version that comes with a solo seat.
