This supersport model delivered outstanding performance in both around-town riding and production sport-model races at an affordable price. It was powered by the proven single-axis crank 90-degree V-twin engine that adopted “Triple YPVS” for finely tuned exhaust control, a new type of carburetor and a cassette-type wide-ratio transmission. Additionally, the un-sprung components were strengthened through measures to review and revise the suspension settings.
