(1991 / Production Model)
This model was developed aiming for a combination of light, sporty performance, enjoyable touring performance and ease of use that would fit the riding environment of European mountain roads. The XTZ750 Super Ténéré’s in-line 2-cylinder engine with 360-degree crank was bored out for an extra 100cc of displacement and mounted on a steel Deltabox frame. Furthermore, the adoption of features like a down-draft carburetor and wide-ratio 5-speed transmission helped achieve a torquey, dynamic ride. In 1992, a Japanese market model was also introduced.
