YZR500 (0W81)

This 500cc Grand Prix factory machine was a further development of the 1985 model, which employed a completely redesigned V4 engine. Advances with this ’86 version included higher output (140 PS to 145 PS), optimized chassis dimensions, and a different seat shape. Eddie Lawson rode this bike to the 500cc World Championship crown that year, adding it to his previous title with Yamaha in 1984.
