This model was a further maturation of the factory machine (0WL5) that won the 2000 GP250 Championship. It mounted a V-twin engine with a single-axis crankshaft, crankcase reed intake valve and YPVS on an aluminum Deltabox frame. It achieved improved high-speed performance and the revised rigidity balance in the front assembly contributed to greater stability.
