YZF750 (0WF1)

For ten years from 1984 the SUZUKA 8 Hours Endurance Race was competed under the “TT-F1” regulations with an engine having a maximum of 750cc, this machine introduced in the final year as a factory machine. The "YZF750 (0WF1)” model was a more mature model of the "FZR750R (OW01)” that had been introduced since 1990. From Yamaha, Yasutomo Nagai and Norihiko Fujiwara rode the “Kirin Beverage RT Yamaha” bearing the traditional Yamaha race number ”#21” to take the lead in the 88th lap, but it lost ground when struck by clutch trouble on the 149th lap. Still, it was able to recover and take the checkered flag to finish the race in 32nd place on the 188th lap.
