TZ250Ⅱ

The “TZ250” debuted in 1973 as a mass-produced road racer. The following year, 1974, it made its full-scale debut in WGP racing. In 1976 it adopted a monocross suspension that increased its rear cushion stroke by 30%, while also adopting disc brakes from the “TZ750” to increase its competitiveness. Participating as a privateer in the WGP on the “TZ250”, Takazumi Katayama ran a total of seven podium finishes including a victory at the Sweden GP, and finished second in the championship standings. It turned out that 33 of the  37 riders in the class rode Yamaha machines.
