The BT1100 Bulldog was a one-of-a-kind sport bike planned and developed by Yamaha’s Italian subsidiary at the time, Belgarda Yamaha. As the popularity of “supersport” models specialized for sporty riding continued growing through the 1990s, the concept for the Bulldog was to purposely go against the market trend of bigger and more powerful motorcycles. Its air-cooled V-twin engine featured a classic pulsing sensation and strong low to mid-range torque. It was praised for its slim, compact chassis with an upright riding position and unique body styling.
