Born May 1987. In 2010, rode a YZR-M1 in the MotoGP with the Fiat Yamaha Team and took his first title. Will race in the event again in 2011 and try to make it two in a row. Was ranked 21st in the 2002 GP125, but subsequently began to stand out from the crowd, and in 2004 was ranked 4th (Derbi). When he stepped up to the 250cc class in 2005, he was ranked 5th, and from the following year he took the GP250 title twice in succession (Honda). In 2008, joined up with Yamaha and raced alongside teammate Valentino Rossi. That year he achieved a ranking of 4th. In 2009 improved his form to a ranking of 2nd and finally took the title in 2010.
