Born April 1969. Joined Yamaha in 1996 and raced in the 500cc class on a YZR500 as a teammate of Norifumi Abe. Results included a 4th in the Imola GP and a ranking of 9th. With a motocross background, in 1988 Bayle won the FIM Motocross World Championship in the 125cc class, and in 1989 won again in the 250cc class (Honda). In 1991, took the the AMA Supercross title (Honda). From 1992, switched to road racing, and for the three years from 1992 rode in the 250cc class with Aprilia. In 1996 stepped up to the 500cc class and joined the Yamaha Team. After this, rode Modenas and Yamaha machines in the 500cc class.
