Jack Miller to Join Yamaha’s WorldSBK Programme for 2027 and 2028 Seasons

September 8, 2026—Yamaha Motor Europe is pleased to announce that Jack Miller will join the official Yamaha team in the FIM Superbike World Championship for the 2027 and 2028 seasons.

The 31-year-old brings a wealth of experience to Yamaha’s WorldSBK project having spent 15 years racing in Grand Prix, including an impressive 11 years in the premier class. Miller achieved four MotoGP wins and 23 podium finishes in his time in MotoGP, with a best overall championship result of fourth in 2021.

The Australian has spent his final two seasons in the MotoGP class with the Prima Pramac Yamaha team, where his professionalism and experience has proved invaluable as Yamaha set about developing its brand new V4 MotoGP machine.

Miller is no stranger to the R1 production-based machine he will race in WorldSBK, having twice competed for the Yamaha Factory Racing team in the Suzuka 8 Hour, alongside Andrea Locatelli, who he joins in Yamaha’s official WorldSBK effort next season. The duo, together with veteran Katsuyuki Nakasuga, finished second in the past two editions of the prestigious endurance race.
