For 2022, the MotoGP season featured a record number of 20 races. The Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team’s Fabio Quartararo held top spot in the title hunt until Round 17 in Thailand, after which he gave up the lead and was unable to defend his title, finishing 2nd overall for the season.
