Special Award

The winning model is the YZF-R7 equipped with the YAMAHA FACTORY RACING TEAM Fairing Kit from Y’s Gear Co., Ltd.
This exterior kit was brought to reality through the construction of a new process for manufacturing that crosses the boundaries between fans and the manufacturer while utilizing newly developed CMFG* technology. Although two-tone color schemes are known for being difficult to achieve, this kit is notable for its use of two deliberately shifted shades of blue that harmonize in sunlight.

*CMFG refers to surfaces that combine the important design elements of color, material, and finish, along with the graphics that are so important in motorcycle design.

Night Fluo: Approval of the Unconventional

Grand Prix

This color strategy was executed with the MT-10, MT-09 and MT-07. To accentuate the unique riding experience the MT Series offers, this color and graphics scheme was designed to be cool, but also leave a strong visual impact. Solid gray can sometimes leave a cheap impression and is a risky color to use, but to achieve the powerful visual impact desired, the color was developed to express seriousness and eliminate any elements appearing decorative in the painting process. With the acid yellow for the wheels acting as an accent color, this color scheme seeks to express the functionality as well as the stylish appeal of the MT Series.

Yamaha’s CMFG Design Strategy

This design strategy was applied to the XSR900 and the Vino Deluxe models. In addition to the basic design requirements of "Color", "Materials," and "Finish," (CMF) "Graphics" are also included because they are an important part of designing motorcycles, creating an all-inclusive "CMFG" management approach to the vehicle’s design.

RB Series Color Strategy

The applicable models are the MT-25, MT-07, MT-09, and MT-09 Tracer. Yamaha sports bikes have a racing background. The distinct blue and technologies that our racing efforts helped create have been developed and offered globally with a new approach as the RB (Race Blu) color strategy unique to the MT Series of sport bikes. Passion, intelligence, history, and a slew of emotions have been entrusted to the RB color, conveying the Yamaha brand to riders around the world.
