The Logic Driving Yamaha Motor Design
Ran-Ko-Kou-Shin - Observe the Past to Better Ponder the New
5th design exhibition: “Timeless Messages – Concept Models”
Exhibition Period: From February 2025 to March 2026
This special exhibition introduces the Design Logic that has been handed down through the proud history and development of Yamaha Design.
In this 5th design exhibition, titled “Timeless Messages – Concept Models,” we display models including the “Morpho Ⅱ” (1991), the ”XS-V1 Sakura” (2007), “XTW250 Ryoku” (2011), and the “MOTOROiD 2” (2023), all of which have been displayed as Concept Models at the Tokyo Motor Show (today’s Japan Mobility Show”) and other shows and events around the world.
At Yamaha Motor, we have long used different kinds of Concept Models to propose a variety of directions for future product development. And these proposals are not limited to attempts to lead new trends or show new expressions in styling but also to provide visual representations of core qualities and value that can be realized in personal mobility. In this sense, they are proposals for the future evolution and development of mobility itself.
In this way, this exhibition aims to show the unique qualities and value embodied in the various Concept Models, and to do so, it seeks to explore once again the inherent messages that lie behind their designs.
