This was a minor-change successor to the YDS-3 released in 1964. Retaining the excellent reliability and high-speed durability provided by the "Autolube" system, the new model had 2 hp more maximum output and a new fender shape. The coloring maintained the traditional candy tone of the YDS series but achieved more of a pop image.
