(1981 / Production Model)
Based on the XJ750E, which adopted the Yamaha Induction Control System (YICS) for both higher power and fuel economy and focused on delivering the fun of riding a slim, compact machine, the XJ750A was a more luxury-focused version of the sport bike and included extra functions and design touches. It had an upright riding position, a slim but sharp body design and numerous features that included the world’s first microcomputer-controlled LCD monitoring and warning system, an anti-dive fork to inhibit the front end from diving during heavy braking, and the first fog light fitted to a motorcycle.
