The 2021 model YZR-M1 that Fabio Quartararo rode to eight podium finishes, including three victories, to become the first French rider to win the series championship title in the premier class, was developed based on the 2020 model and underwent further maturation. The #46 coloring and graphics seen the above photo are those the “Petronas Yamaha SRT” machine ridden by Valentino Rossi in the 2021 season, after which he retired from MotoGP racing.
