This was the last model of the 250cc TD series of production racebikes. Developed with the base power unit from the DX250 production model, it debuted in the Road Racing World Championship in 1971. It helped Jarno Saarinen win the GP250 title in 1972 and Dieter Braun to win it in '73. It was called “the world's most competitive production racer.”
