(1981 / Production Model)
The 50cc Pasetta scooter model follows in the footsteps of the Passol and Passola, and was developed to appeal to a younger range of users. The rear suspension used Yamaha's unique centrally positioned shock absorbing mechanism, had excellent riding comfort and footwork and a slim, stylish design. Also, it boasted highly practical functions like a "1-2 Start" feature that helped avoid false starts and a brake pad wear indicator. An SB50 kickstarter-only version was also marketed.
