(2006 / Production Model)
The FJR1300 released in 2001 had an all-new liquid-cooled engine and boasted excellent performance, comfort for high-speed cruising, and onboard features that gave it the potential for embarking on a two-up, 10-day, 3,000 km tour. On top of all that, its agile handling character won it praise as the GT car of the motorcycle world. In 2006, the FJR1300AS was introduced as a high-end version and came equipped with the Yamaha Chip Controlled Shift (YCC-S) system, which enabled smooth clutchless gearshift changes as well as other functions and refinements for long-distance touring.
