DX250

This model was the 250cc version of the sport model RX350 released in April of the same year. Its newly designed 2-cylinder engine featured a 5-port layout, "Autolube" oil supply system and twin carburetors, and was mounted on a double cradle type frame made of high-tensile steel as on Yamaha’s production racers. The un-sprung components included a Ceriani type front fork with an aluminum bottom case, a 3-way adjustable rear cushioning unit and completely dust- and water-proof drum brakes. It achieved light and agile handling that set a new standard for sport bikes of the time.
