DragStar (XVS400)

This 400cc cruiser model was the successor to the Virago 400. It had an air-cooled V-twin with chrome plating and a chassis design inspired by the fun and lively drag racing image with a low seat height and long wheelbase. It also featured gear ratios selected for optimum performance in the mid-speed range that best suited city riding, a shaft drive system with a stylish look and smooth drive feeling and other features for a light and enjoyable ride. This became Yamaha’s representative cruiser model.
