Born July 1984. In 2010, rode a YZR-M1 in the MotoGP with the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 Team, achieving a ranking of 6th even though this was his first year of full-time competition. Won the Rookie of the Year Award. In 2011, slated to ride in the MotoGP with the Yamaha Factory Team alongside Jorge Lorenzo. In 2000 rode in the AMA 750 Superstock. In 2003 won the AMA Formula Xtreme Championship. From 2006, took the AMA Superbike title (Suzuki) three times in succession. In 2009, debuted in the World Suprebike Championship on a Yamaha machine and won the title Yamaha's first in this championship. Near the end of that year, made a spot appearance in the MotoGP, but from 2010 raced in the event full time.
