TY-E 2.1 Electric Trials Bike Promotional Video

March 31, 2023

March 31, 2023—Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. developed and unveiled the first TY-E electric trials bike in 2018. That year and again in 2019, Yamaha entered the bike in the FIM Trial-E Cup held alongside the Trial World Championship, and then contested a round of the Trial2 World Championship in 2022 with the improved TY-E 2.0.

Now, in 2023, Yamaha has decided to make a full-time entry in the All Japan Trial Championship’s premier IA Super class with Kenichi Kuroyama on the TY-E 2.1. The end goal is to win the title in 2025 with the machine while acquiring technologies and know-how along the way that will lead to creating mass-produced electric motorcycles featuring levels of performance and fun that surpass what is offered with bikes using internal combustion engines.
