Yamaha Motor's YE-01 Racing Concept to Make Exhibition Run at MXoN 2026 - Initiative aimed at competing in the MXEP electric motocross racing series -

IWATA, September 25, 2026 - Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (Tokyo: 7272) announced today that it will display and conduct an exhibition run of its YE-01 Racing Concept at the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations 2026 (MXoN 2026), to be held in Ernée, France, from October 2. This initiative is aimed at eventual participation in MXEP, an electric motocross racing series scheduled to launch in the near future.
The YE-01 Racing Concept has been jointly designed with French electric motorcycle manufacturer, Electric Motion SAS (EM).Developed under the concept of "Expanding the Possibilities of Riders and Machines," the YE-01 Racing Concept incorporates YZ450F chassis technology and expertise accrued over decades of racing with EM's power unit technology, and aims to preserve the core appeal of motocross while proposing a new form of enjoyment that leverages the unique characteristics of electric power. The exhibition run will provide an opportunity to see the appeal of the vehicle and the potential of electric motocross.
The YE-01 was exhibited last year at EICMA (Milan Motorcycle Show), one of Europe's largest motorcycle exhibitions, and it is designed to take an engaging approach to achieving carbon neutrality. The exhibition run will provide an opportunity to witness the appeal of the vehicle and the potential of electric motocross.
Yamaha Motor, in line with its Yamaha Motor Group Environmental Plan 2050, is working toward achieving carbon neutrality throughout its entire supply chain, including the Company's business activities, by 2050*¹. The Company will continue to conduct R&D into a variety of technologies, including electrification, that contribute to sustainability, pursuing a multi-pathway approach toward achieving carbon neutrality.
