New Company Established in Finland to Promote DX Development for Marine Products Business - Strengthening connected technology development capabilities and building a global CASE development platform -

IWATA, June 13, 2025 - Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (Tokyo: 7272) announces that its subsidiary Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. has established Yamaha Motor Connected Innovation (YMCI) in Finland, a new company for developing digital platforms and connected technologies for the Marine Products business. Additionally, the Company has acquired the IT assets and intellectual property rights of Skipperi, a Finnish company Yamaha Motor invested in in 2023, and transferred them to Yamaha Motor.

Skipperi is an IT startup with strengths in digital platform development and provides customers with the means and locales for enjoyable marine experiences. The company operates subscription-based boat clubs globally and uses digital technology to save labor in boat club operations.

This series of moves by Yamaha Motor is intended to leverage the digital technologies and assets acquired to build a foundation for further connected technology development. The Company is also aiming to expand sales of its digital platforms in the globally expanding boat sharing market.

Yamaha Motor will continue driving the Marine CASE Strategy it put in motion during the previous Medium-Term Management Plan, and as per the new Medium-Term Management Plan announced in February of this year, the Company will move to evolve its Marine Products business into an Integrated Boat business that maximizes the value of the customer experience.

Going forward, Yamaha Motor will continue to offer greater customer value in line with the diversifying lifestyles of customers by developing higher-value-added services and next-generation products that make full use of digital technologies.
