Yamaha Motor to Exhibit at Japan International Boat Show 2011

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. will exhibit at the Japan International Boat Show 2011 to be held from Thursday, March 3 to Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the Pacifico Yokohama exhibition site (Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture).

Themed "The Sea  Unforgettable Weekends," Yamaha Motor's booth in the indoor venue will display a range of 27 models reflecting the diverse products the company offers as a comprehensive marine manufacturer. Highlighting this lineup will be new models such as the multipurpose cruiser "S-QUALO" and the Marine Jet "MJ-VXR" personal watercraft.

At the booth, visitors will also find information counters introducing Yamaha Motor's popular membership-style "Sea-Style" club, boat license courses and other services aimed at making marine leisure and recreation more accessible.

Twelve pleasure-use boats (nine in the indoor booth, three in the floating display area), six PWCs, nine outboards, technology displays, areas introducing marine services such as the Sea-Style club, Y's Gear marine apparel and accessories and a "Smart Power" alternative technology area

Boats

In the indoor booth, Yamaha Motor will be displaying boats ranging from the new multipurpose cruiser "S-QUALO" designed and outfitted with functions for cruising, fishing and comfortable marina stays, the "SC-30e II" with a joystick piloting function and the "UF-29F" and "YF-23F" designed for serious sport fishing, to the jet propulsion model "AR240 High Output" that has won high acclaim in the US market. In the outdoor floating display area, the "EXULT 45 CONVERTIBLE" and "EXULT 36 Sport Saloon" will be displayed along with the import model "Marquis 500SB."

PWCs

Six personal watercraft are being displayed, including the sport models "MJ-VXR" and "MJ-VXS" featuring one of the lightest hulls in class made of Yamaha Motor's exclusive super-light NanoXcel material and mounting a naturally aspirated (NA) high output 4-stroke engine rated at 180 hp.

Outboard motors

Nine models of Yamaha Motor's 4-stroke outboard lineup are on display, led by the 350hp "F350A" with the world's highest horsepower rating for an outboard and the "F300B" (cut model) boasting the lightest weight in its class. Visitors will also see the VMAX SHO series models for freshwater "bass boats" that recently won the US National Marine Manufactures Association's "Innovation Award."

Membership exclusive marine club, boat license courses

A marine "software" counter will offer information and explanations about Yamaha Motor's membership exclusive marine activity/rental club "Sea-Style" offering easy access to marine leisure at local marinas around Japan and boat license courses offered by Yamaha Motor for aspiring boaters.

Marine accessories

The Y's Gear displays a full array of the accessories and apparel that make marine leisure complete, including lifejackets as well as navigational equipment, wakeboards and other latest marine gear.

Others

Videos and display panels will portray Yamaha Motor's booth theme "The Sea  Unforgettable Weekends," exploring the appeal of marine leisure and the exclusive technologies Yamaha Motor has developed and brought to the market, as well as the company's activities for marine environment preservation and contributing to society under the "Beautiful Oceans Forever" theme. On the booth's event stage visitors will see talk shows with guests including celebrity Iria Nagahama and professional wakeboarder Miku Asai.
