Yamaha Motor to Exhibit at Japan International Boat Show 2008

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. will mount a booth at the Japan International Boat Show 2008 in Yokohama, Japan's biggest marine industry show, to be held from Thursday, March 6 to Sunday, March 9 at the Pacifico Yokohama exhibition site.

The theme of Yamaha Motor's indoor exhibit booth will again be "The Sea - Unforgettable Weekends". The booth will feature stage events and performances making abundant use of video to create an exciting marine environment to enhance the display of boats, personal watercraft and outboard motors with a focus on new models. Visitors will also see new-concept sports boats and special exhibition models including a big 300hp 4-stroke outboard motor. There will also be service counters for Yamaha Motor's members-only marine club Sea-Style and the company's boat license courses offering information to enable more people to gain access to marine leisure and recreation.

At the outdoor floating exhibit site, three larger Yamaha Motor boats will be moored on display.

Displays:

11 pleasure-use boats (including special exhibition models), seven PWC (including color variations), 10 outboard motor models (including special exhibition models), technology displays, sections introducing marine services such as the Sea-Style club, Y's Gear marine apparel and accessories sections.

Booth Contents

Boats:

From the Yamaha Motor lineup of convertible models for billfish sport fishing or offshore cruising, fishing models designed for various types of fishing, and cruising models designed for marine recreation with family and friends, 10 models have been selected, including several big boats. As a special exhibition model, a prototype of a new-concept sports boat will be displayed in the indoor booth.

PWC (Personal watercraft)

The PWC display will center around the new supercharged flagship models "MJ-FX Cruiser SHO" and "MJ-FX SHO" scheduled for release in March, and other environmentally sound 4-stroke models of Yamaha Motor's WaveRunner (Marine Jet) series featuring cleaner emissions and quieter running.

Outboard motors

Outboard motors on display will include nine models. Among them is the 350hp "F350A," the world's largest commercially sold displacement outboard, featuring a 5,330cm3 V-8 engine. In addition, a newly developed 300hp, 4-stroke outboard will be displayed as a special exhibition model.

Sea-Style (Members-only marine club)

There will be service counters introducing Yamaha Motor's marine club Sea-Style that offers easy access to boats at local marinas around the country at reasonable membership fees to enable more people to enjoy marine leisure and recreation, as well as the company's boat license courses teaching the skills of seamanship and boat operation to enable people to obtain boating licenses.

Others

Video panels and a variety of stage events will be presented in order to portray "The Sea - Unforgettable Weekends" that Yamaha Motor offers, the attractions of marine leisure and the technologies that Yamaha Motor has acquired over many years of developing and bringing to market the company's wide range of quality products. Also, a Y's Gear section will display a variety of marine apparel and accessories that make marine lifestyles even more enjoyable.
