Yamaha Motor to Provide Additional Support to Earthquake-stricken Areas in Central Java

Once again, Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (the “Company”) wishes to express its deep sympathy to families of victims of the recent earthquake in Central Java, Indonesia, and to extend its most sincere condolences. The Company is also praying for the speedy recovery of everyone who suffered damage in the earthquake, and for the restoration of stricken areas.

On May 29, the Company announced an immediate donation of relief funds in the amount of 10 million yen for the stricken areas, via the Japanese Red Cross Society.

In addition, the Company has decided to donate 100 generators and make a further contribution of one billion rupiahs (about 12 million yen) through Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) and seven other Yamaha Motor Group companies in Indonesia. Moreover, the Company is looking for ways to offer free repair services for earthquake-damaged motorcycles through its local sales companies and dealers.

An overview of the Company’s support to earthquake-stricken areas in Central Java is as follows:

Emergency support

100 generators donated as relief supplies
From eight Yamaha Motor Group companies in Indonesia:

1. One billion rupiahs (about 12 million yen) gathered by YIMM and donated via the Indonesian government-managed disaster relief fund
2. Free repair services for earthquake-damaged motorcycles by Yamaha Motor’s local sales companies and dealers in Indonesia (under consideration)
