The best-selling TW200, popular for its distinctive "fat tires, slim body" look, its potential as an attractive base model for customizing and its great performance in around-town riding, has been reborn as the TW225 with a new bored-out 223cc engine.

The bigger displacement makes for easier to use power in the most used under 60 km/hr speed range and adds that extra power for tandem riding. Meanwhile, a shortened rear end design accentuates the slim styling. The new model is more fully equipped with new features such as the meter panel.

The TW200 first appeared in its original version in 1987. Around 1996, nine years after its release, newfound popularity among riders in their teens and twenties catapulted the TW to best-seller status. In 2000, this model sold 15,157 units, the highest ever. This made it Japan's best-selling motorcycle for the third consecutive year.

The model that pioneered the 250cc scooter class, the Majesty now appears with an even higher level of running performance. Changes especially in the rear suspension's spring and damper characteristics make for better absorption of shocks from small bumps in the road for a more comfortable ride. The front suspension settings have also been optimized for further comfort.

New features like (1) a theft-preventing remote control-operated keyhole shutter, (2) a 5-display meter panel with tachometer and multi-information liquid crystal display and a futuristic-looking inner panel (rpm meter, air temperature display, fuel gauge and tripodometer, etc.), (3) new seat wadding that makes for easier ground reach, (4) steps for the tandem rider and (5) a completely aluminum coated headlight molding and red rear flasher lens make this model even more complete. At the same time, exterior appointments like a redesigned inner panel add to its new look. The "Majesty ABS" model adds an anti-lock brake system.

The Majesty C builds on the Majesty by adding a customized look to the exterior. Features like (1) a compact shortened windscreen without the air-induction fin, (2) exposed-metal handlebars, (3) a special-design meter panel, (4) a chrome-plated rearview mirror and (5) punched metal sheeting create a distinctive new look.
