1996 RX135

This was a 135cc sports model developed for the Indian, Middle Eastern and Asian markets. Mounted on a double cradle frame was a 2-stroke engine with a 7-port piston reed intake valve and the Torque Induction system. The engine delivered smooth response and powerful performance across the entire speed range. The RX135 also adopted the Yamaha Energy Induction System (YEIS), giving it excellent combustion efficiency that in turn brought it better fuel economy and cleaner emissions. The Indian market model on display features a large engine guard and a “sari guard” to help prevent the traditional Indian garment from getting caught up in the rear wheel.
