MXGP Rider Jeremy Van Horebeek to Withdraw from
Round 9 of the All Japan Motocross Championship

The Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team's Jeremy Van Horebeek was to race in the IA1 class at Round 9 (MFJGP) of the All Japan Motocross Championship at Sportsland SUGO in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan on October 23, 2016.

Unfortunately, he suffered an injury to his right knee and ankle while contesting the Motocross of Nations event on September 25, 2016 while representing his home country of Belgium. After an examination of his injuries, doctors have instructed him to rest and receive medical treatment for an extended period of time, forcing him to withdraw from competing in the MFJGP.

Yamaha would like to extend an apology to fans in Japan who were looking forward to seeing MXGP rider Van Horebeek in action.
