IWATA, May 9, 2022 - Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (Tokyo: 7272.hereinafter, the Company) announces the status of the acquisition of its own shares based on Article 156 of the Company Law, which is applicable in accordance with Article 165, Paragraph 3 of the same law as follows.

1. Type of shares acquired	: Common shares
2. Number of shares acquired	: 3,048,700 shares
3. Total value of shares acquired	: ￥ 8,040,894,799
4. Acquisition period	: From Apr 1, 2022 to Apr 28, 2022 (on the basis of execution date)
5. Method of acquisition	: Purchase on the Tokyo Stock Exchange market
