Born November 1976. Joined Yamaha in 2007 and rode a YZR-M1 in the MotoGP with the Tech 3 Yamaha Team. His highest placing was a 7th in the US GP, and his ranking was 18th. After racing in the All Japan Road Race Championship, he rode in the MotoGP with Honda from 2003. In 2004, he won the Rio de Janeiro and Japan GPs and achieved a ranking of 6th. In 2007, he rode a Yamaha but earned no points in six rounds and failed to make it into the top placings. From 2008, he rode in the WSB and other competitions.
