Effects of the Flooding in Thailand(Information Update)

November 15, 2011

We wish to begin by expressing our sincere condolences to the victims of the recent flooding in Thailand.

Yamaha Motor group motorcycle manufacture and sales company Thai Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (TYM) halted operations on the afternoon of October 11 due to parts supply delays from suppliers that sustained flood damage.

In order to resume production as quickly as possible, TYM and the Yamaha Motor group have worked diligently with the suppliers to restore parts supply flow and now expect to restart production operations of some models from November 21.

A definite time for the complete recovery of parts supply is still under review, but cooperative efforts continue with the suppliers to return to normal operations as quickly as possible.

Additionally, there are currently no reports of direct injuries or damage sustained by Thai Yamaha Motor and its employees or any of the other three group companies in Thailand.
