Aid for Flood Disaster Relief in Thailand

October 19, 2011

We wish to begin by expressing our sincere condolences to the victims of the recent flooding in Thailand.

In order to assist in the fastest possible recovery from this disaster, Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. and its local motorcycle manufacturing and sales subsidiary Thai Yamaha Motor and other group companies are jointly donating the equivalent of 30 million yen as relief aid.

The aid package includes 3,000 life jackets on route to the Chaippatana Foundation, an organization under the Royal patronage, while further consideration is in progress to respond to the growing number of requests being received from the stricken areas for outboard motors and other items.

Regarding these other items, considerations are now in progress to decide on the types and numbers of products to be donated and the best modes of donation to implement them as quickly as possible.

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. and its group companies will continue to provide aid as needed in the stricken areas.
